2007 All-American Selection Flower Winners

Better Homes and Gardens has recommended the following All-American Select flowers for Spring 2007:

Ornamental Millet Purple Majesty
Description: dark, tall handsome, purple. Easy to grow, capable of growing 3-5 ft with 8 - 12 inch flower spikes. Easy to grow and tolerant of high temps and low moisture.

Carnation F1 Can Can Scarlet
Description: Fragrant, double 2 inch blooms can be used in a bouquet. Heat tolerant with long growing season. Features grey-green foliage contrasting bright scarlet blooms. Plants reach 12 to 14 inches tall.

Rudbeckia hirta Prairie Sun
Description: Hardy, with distinct blooms, Light green central cones blending golden petals. 5 inch blooms mature to 3 feet. Easy to grow and maintain.

Petunia F1 Merlin Blue Morn
Description: 2 1/2 inch blooms with pure white centers to velvet blue. Plants can spread 18 - 30 inches and reach 15 - 20 inches tall. Great for hanging baskets and containers.

Agastache foeniculum Golden Jubilee
Description: Golden leaved, aromatic herb thrives in full sun or partial shade. A symmetrical plant reaching 20 inches tall and spreading 10 - 15 inches. Dense spikes with lavender florets. Easy to grow.

Petunia F1 Blue Wave
Description: Velvet, dark blue, 2 inch blooms, trailing plant. Spreads 3- 4 feet with height of 4 - 7 feet. Needs do pinching or pruning. Adapts to any container.

Vinca Jaio Dark Red
Description: red vinca with white centers, 1 1/2 inch blooms covering the plant. Glossy, green foliage offset the red blooms. Matures to 15 inches, spreading 20 inches.

Dianthus F1 Corona Cherry Magic
Description: Bicolor pattern, can be entirely cherry red, lavender or a mix. 2 inch blooms on a 7 - 9 inch tall plant that spreads 8 - 10 inches.

Gaillardia pulchella Sundance Bicolor
Description: Red and yellow bicolor rounded double blooms covering the plant. Heat and drought tolerant. Spreads 15 - 16 inches in full sun. Great for hanging baskets.

Eustoma F1 Forever White
Description: Large ivory 2 1/2 inch blooms. Heat and low-moisture tolerant. Compact, reaching height of 12 inches.
