...this months Design Focus is on Spring Centerpieces - "Eclectic"...
Unique Considerations:

Many brides are now looking for an eclectic or 'artsy' styled centerpiece. Spring is the perfect season to bring this approach to your wedding reception.

An eclectic or "shabby-chic" approach can be achieved with an ensemble of treasures - flea market finds, things from the family attic, all to be filled with fresh flowers or blooming plants to tie them together visually. Tea cups, teapots and collectible ceramic planters are ideal for this. Antique tins, baskets - even hats can be beautiful and interesting as floral containers. However diverse the collection of containers, your tables can be unified with the flower selection. The color, texture and design will pull it all together for a unique centerpiece to customize the room for your day.

If your reception room has ample room to accommodate a high-style centerpiece, consider alternating high and low styles. Antique umbrella stands or some lamp bases make a nice narrow riser for flowers. You definitely want a riser that won't block the view across the table to much.

This eclectic approach does involve more time and effort on your part. However, a resourceful florist (like the Rhoads Garden) can also assist you in acquiring pieces to work with.
