...this months Design Focus is on Boutonnieres...
Unique Considerations:
It has long been a tradition for gentlemen to place a flower in his lapel, dating back to medieval times when a prospective groom wore the colors of his intended's family.
Form:
Many men prefer something not too large, complicated or showy.

Style:
Traditionally, the groom would wear something also found in the bride's bouquet, perhaps her white rose, a small orchid or stephanotis. The style can be reflected by the choice of the blossom and the greenery accents placed with it. A garden-like theme or a more simple, elegant look can both be achieved using the right materials.

Trend:
Hand gathered mini clusters are popular now with multiple textures and perhaps a simple ribbon stem wrap to pull in the color of the bridesmaids dresses. Also popular is the use of antique glass hatpins or an unusual mix of exotic leaves.
