...this months Design Focus is on Flower Girls and Ringbearers...
Unique Considerations:
  • Including a young family member as a flower girl or ringbearer can be a wonderful way to involve special generations in your family event.
  • One important consideration is the age of the child. Be sure to tailor your expectations to suit the child's age and abilities.
Form:
For both the flower girl and ringbearer, it is often a good idea to have them carry or hold something. A pillow with a crescent of fresh flowers is traditional for the ringbearer.

For the flower girl, a basket with either an arrangement or filled with petals to scatter, or a small nosegay, scaled down from adult attendants.

A halo or crown of flowers is adorable on a flower girl. Be sure she will tolerate it and has a nice head of hair to carry it.

Style:
The flower girls' flowers should be more delicate and scaled to a child's stature, but consistant with the style of the bridal party.

Trend:
A round cadet ball, held by a satin ribbon loop is a popular choice and a traditional form. Small wreaths to carry are also returning from many generations ago.
